I start with the most luscious
fabrics I can find, combine them with wonderful ribbons, trims and braids,
sew them into Tallitot (prayer shawls), Torah mantles, chupot, or other
Judaic textiles, and enhance them with painted or appliquéd calligraphic
texts. All these elements seem to transcend themselves and form a whole
that imbues a spiritual quality. I am blessed and constantly amazed that
the work of my hands allows others to feel more fully of their Jewish
selves. I am deeply thankful that what I absolutely love creating is coveted
by others.
